GHL’s proven controller delivers precise measurement and control of pH/ORP and temperature, alongside 32-channel illumination simulation (clouds, storms, moon phases, seasonal lighting), 16-channel stream and return pump control, 32-channel dosing pump control, automatic water change management, and level/flow/leakage monitoring. Conductivity measurement is easily added at any time via an expansion card – no hardware replacement, no disruption to your setup.
The ProfiLux 4.1e connects via WiFi, LAN (Ethernet), and USB – for maximum flexibility in choosing the most reliable connection. The wired LAN port delivers the stable network connectivity that demanding installations require. OTA firmware updates are applied wirelessly or via network – no USB cable needed.
At the heart of the ProfiLux 4.1e runs ProfiLuxOS – not a general-purpose platform adapted for aquariums, but an operating system designed from day one with one priority: keeping your aquarium safe. Purpose-built hardware, purpose-built OS. No shortcuts.
Stay connected via the GHL Connect app, built-in webserver, email notifications, or the myGHL cloud service – from anywhere, on any device. GHL Connect and GHL Control Center also work fully locally on your home network. No cloud dependency required.
Three built-in expansion slots accept Expansion Cards for additional measurement inputs. The optional Expansion Box 2 adds five more slots. Difference Between ProfiLux 4.1 and ProfiLux 4.0
The ProfiLux 4.1 takes connectivity further versus the ProfiLux 4.0: in addition to WiFi and USB, it adds a LAN port (Ethernet) and supports OTA firmware updates – wirelessly or via network, no USB required.

Unmatched Expansion Options
ProfiLux 4.1 includes a large selection of expansion options to suit the needs of any aquarist. When you need to add more functions, simply add an expansion card to one of the available expansion slots. No need to buy additional modules, just pop the card in and you’re good to go.
Between Expansion Cards and Expansion Boxes, you can expand the ProfiLux to nearly no limit!
